If a disk pool is configured from the disk volumes that the storage server manages,
you cannot delete the storage server.
Warning: Do not delete a storage server if its storage contains unexpired NetBackup
images. If you do, data loss may occur.
To delete an AdvancedDisk storage server

In the NetBackup Administration Console, expand Media and Device
Management > Credentials > Storage Server.

On the Edit menu, select Delete.

Click Yes in the confirmation dialog box.
Determining AdvancedDisk storage server state
Use the NetBackup nbdevquery command to determine the state of an
AdvancedDisk storage server.
To determine AdvancedDisk storage server status

Run the following command:
nbdevquery -liststs -stype AdvancedDisk -storage_server
server_name -U
The following is the path to the nbdevquery command:
■ UNIX: /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/admincmd
■ Windows: install_path\NetBackup\bin\admincmd
The State field shows either UP or DOWN.
Removing AdvancedDisk storage server attributes
Use the nbdevconfig command to remove the following storage server attributes:
■ Preferred restore server (PrefRestore)
■ Required restore server (ReqRestore)
■ Required duplication server (ReqDuplicate)
