Always use shielded cable when connecting your PWM Command
signal source to PWM Input/PWM Return inputs. In electrically-
noisy environments, long lengths of unshielded wire act like an
antenna and may generate enough voltage to trigger uncommanded
lasing.
f100/f201 lasers

Disconnect DC power from the laser.

Locate the Quick Start Plug in the ship kit.

Connect the Quick Start Plug to the User I/O connector on the rear of the f100/f201
laser.

Attach the BNC connector on the end of the UC-2000’s Power/Control cable to the
BNC connector on the rear of the Quick Start Plug.

Connect the miniature DC power plug on the UC-2000’s Power/Control cable to the
miniature connector on the cable from the UC-2000’s wall plug transformer.
6
Connect the mini-DIN connector on the other end of the UC-2000’s Power/Control
cable to the Laser connector on the UC-2000’s rear panel.
7
Plug the compact transformer into any 100–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz outlet.
f200/f400 lasers

Disconnect DC power from the laser.

Locate two Quick Start Plugs, and the “Y”-type BNC Control Cable in the ship kit.

Connect a Quick Start Plug to each User I/O connector on the rear of the laser.

Attach the short “legs” of the “Y”-type control cable to each of the Quick Start Plugs.
5
Attach the BNC connector on the end of the UC-2000’s Power/Control cable to one side
of the BNC Tee Connector (shipped with the UC-2000 Controller).

Attach the long “leg” of the “Y”-type control cable to the other end of the BNC Tee.
7
Connect the miniature DC power plug on the UC-2000’s Power/Control cable to the
miniature connector on the cable from the UC-2000’s wall plug transformer.

Connect the mini-DIN connector on the other end of the UC-2000’s Power/Control
cable to the Laser connector on the UC-2000’s rear panel.
9
Plug the compact transformer into any 100–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz outlet.
