4.2.9 SEcUr (Security Functions)
Once in Supervisor Mode, use the Left and Right arrow keys to scroll through the
available Supervisor Functions.
Once SEcUr SEL is displayed, press the START/STOP key to enter that function or
press the DENOM key to exit. Press DENOM again to exit Supervisor Function
completely.
Note: Even if PIN off has been selected you will still have to use the default or changed
PIN to enter that function for security reasons.
The Default PIN is 796
PIN on / PIN off
This is used to specify security settings: whether or not a PIN is needed to enter
supervisor mode. The default setting is off (no PIN).
Toggle the PIN setting off/on using the START/STOP key.
Alternatively, in the Model EV8650, 12 supervisor functions have a short cut key which
can be used to select the functions directly (see ”Supervisor Functions Summary”
on page 37).
This short-cut key will take you directly to PIN off/on.
To select one of the other two functions press the MODE key while PIN on / PIN oFF is
displayed.
Pin_SEt is for changing the 3 digit default PIN to a new one of your choice.
The Default PIN is 796
Once Pin_SEt is shown press the START/STOP key and - - - Pin will be displayed.
Enter your new 3 digit number and press START/STOP to accept. The display will show
donE Pin.
dtLoc (Detector Lock) is for locking the detectors so the operator cannot turn them off in
normal operation. Use the MODE key again to display dtLoc, the START/STOP key to
toggle between oFF/on.
dtLoc will only be shown if PIN on has been selected.
To exit this function and the Supervisor Functions completely, press the DENOM Key.
You will be asked if you want to save the settings.
Press the DENOM key to exit without saving.
