Sequencer + Trigger System Examples
A combination of the Sequencer and the Trigger System provides the ability to generate any
sequence and synchronize it.
5.3.1 WAVE Mode Voltage Programming via Communication Example
1. Select the Sequencer operation mode: VOLT:MODE:WAVE.
2. Program sequence voltage values: WAVE:VOLT 1,2,3,4.
3. Program time values corresponding to each voltage value: WAVE:TIME 1,2,3,4.
4. Store the sequence into the power supply memory cell 1: STOR 1.
5.3.2 WAVE Mode Execution via Communication Example
1. Load a sequence from the power supply memory cell 1: LOAD 1.
2. Set step parameter: WAVE:STEP AUTO.
3. Set counter parameter: COUN 1.
4. Select communication or front panel as a trigger source: TRIG:SOUR BUS.
5. Set continuous trigger initialization mode: INIT:CONT ON.
6. Initialize trigger system: INIT.
Power supply is waiting for trigger.
7. Turn on the power supply output and send a trigger command: *TRG.
NOTE
To stop execution of a running sequence, use ABORt command (refer to section 4.13
).
5.3.3 WAVE Mode Execution via Front Panel Example
1. Load a sequence from the power supply memory cell 1:
1.1. Press the PROG button. PROG (GREEN) LED illuminates.
1.2. Rotate the Voltage encoder until LOAD 1 appears.
1.3. Rotate Current encoder to select 1, 2, 3 or 4. Press Current encoder to accept. The
display blinks once to acknowledge the setting.
2. Select communication or front panel as a trigger source:
2.1. Rotate the Voltage encoder until TRG.IN BUS appears.
2.2. Rotate Current encoder to select BUS. Press Current encoder to accept. The display
blinks once to acknowledge the setting.
3. Set continuous trigger initialization mode:
3.1. Rotate the Voltage encoder until CONT OFF appears.
3.2. Rotate Current encoder to select ON. Press Current encoder to accept. The display
blinks once to acknowledge the setting.
