NOTE
Following SYST:ADDR 10, power supply is addressed as 10. To send commands to this supply,
send INST:NSEL 10.
1.9.6 Set GEN Communication Language (Example)
power supply default communication language is set to SCPI. Send the following
commands to the power supply to set GEN language.
1. INST:NSEL 6 (power supply with address 6 will receive commands).
2. SYST:LANG GEN (switch communication language to GEN language).
3. ADR 6 (confirm power supply replies with “OK”).
1.9.7 Configure to Genesys Power Supply Communication Settings
power supply default communication parameters are as follows:
Interface: USB.
Language: SCPI.
Baud rate: 115200.
Address: 6.
Genesys power supply default communication parameters are as follows:
Interface: RS232.
Language: GEN.
Baud rate: 9600.
Address: 6.
PC terminal software parameters are as follows:
Port: USB, According to Device Manager (refer to Figure 1–11 for an example of COM5).
Baud rate: 115200.
Data: 8 bit.
Parity: None.
Stop bit: 1.
Flow control: None.
Transmit delay: 0 mSec. (both for character and line).
New-line receive: CR + LF (Carriage Return + Line Feed).
New-line transmit: CR (Carriage return).
Send the following commands to the power supply to set communication parameters as
Genesys.
