5.8 AP mode
This function is only available under the wireless router mode. Refer to Operating mode to set the
operating mode of the router.
When you have a smart home gateway which only provides wired internet access, you can set the
router to work in AP mode to provide wireless coverage.
When the router is set to AP mode:
Every physical port can be used as a LAN port.
The LAN IP address of the router will be changed. Please log in to web UI of the router by visiting
tendawifi.com.
Functions, such as bandwidth control and virtual server, will be unavailable. Refer to the web UI for
available functions.
Configuring procedure:
Step 1 Power on the router. Connect a computer to the LAN port of the router, or connect your
smart phone to the Wi-Fi network of the router.
Step 2 Log in to the web UI of the router.
1. Start a web browser on a device connected to the router and visit tendawifi.com to log in
to the web UI of the router. A computer is used for illustration below.
If you have finished the quick setup wizard before, skip to Step 2 to proceed with the configuration.
2. Click Start.
