Gateway
It specifies the ingress IP address of the next hop route after the data packet exits
from the interface of the router.
0.0.0.0 indicates that the destination network is directly connected to the router.
WAN
It specifies the interface that the packet exits from.
Operation
It is used to add or delete static route rules.
11.11.2 Add a static route rule
Scenario: You have a 4G09 and another two routers. Router1 is connected to the internet and its
DHCP server is enabled. Router2 is connected to an intranet and its DHCP server is disabled.
Goal: You are able to access both the internet and intranet at the same time.
Solution: You can configure the static route function to reach the goal.
This scenario and solution is only applicable when the router is under wireless router mode.
Assume the LAN IP addresses of these devices are:
4G09: 192.168.0.1
Router1: 192.168.10.10
Router2: 192.168.10.20
The information about the intranet:
IP address: 172.16.105.0
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Configuring procedure:
Step 1 Start a web browser on a device connected to the router and visit tendawifi.com to log in
to the web UI of the router.
Step 2 Refer to Access the internet with a dynamic IP address to configure the internet access for
LAN: 192.168.0.1
192.168.10.10
192.168.10.20
IP address:
172.16.105.0
Subnet mask:
255.255.255.0
