9.2.5 MLD snooping
MLD (Multicast Listener Discovery) is a Layer 2 multicast protocol running on IPv6 networks. With
MLD snooping enabled, the ONT listens to the multicast conversations and maintains a map of the
relationship between links and IP multicast which the link needs. Multicasts may be filtered from
the links which do not need them, conserving bandwidth on those links.
To access the page, log in to the web UI of the ONT and choose Advance > IPv6 > MLD Snooping.
