(n) The anodised surface coating on the two armrest screws (585) is not worn.
(o) The backrest assembly (350) and bucket assembly (745) are securely attached.
(p) The two recline racks (670) are securely attached to the bucket assembly (745) and are not dam-
aged.
(q) The bottom guide bearings (755) are securely attached to the bucket assembly (745) and are
not damaged.
(r) The two upper guide bearings (755) are not damaged.
(s) The bucket assembly labels (75), (80), (750) and (785) are correctly positioned, and are not worn
or damaged.
(t) The two warning labels (70) and restraint status label (165) are correctly positioned on the guard
(90), and are not worn or damaged.
D. Examine the cushions, lumbar support and headrest.
(1) Visually examine the cushions, lumbar support and headrest, make sure:
(Ref. IPL Fig. 1, Sheets 1 and 9)
(a) There is no contamination, cuts, tears or broken stitching.
(b) The cushion assemblies (55), (60), (65) and lumbar support (35) are not damaged.
(c) The headrest (40) is securely attached to the backrest assembly (350) and is not damaged.
(d) The headrest (40) adjusts UP/DOWN, tilts FORE/AFT and locks in the required position.
(e) The harness guides (5) and headrest adjustment springs (45) are not damaged.
E. Examine the cover assembly.
(1) Visually examine the cover assembly, make sure:
(Ref. IPL Fig. 1, Sheet 1)
(a) The cover assembly (140) is not damaged.
F. Examine the 5-point harness.
(1) Visually examine the 5-point harness, make sure:
(Ref. IPL Fig. 1, Sheet 4)
(a) There is no contamination, wear, fraying or broken stitching.
- Replace the 5-point harness (10) if contaminated, worn or excessively faded.
- Clean the 5-point harness (10) if dirty, refer to “CLEANING” on page 401.
(b) The metal lugs are free from burrs, damage or corrosion.
(c) The QRB is free from burrs, damage or corrosion.
