What to do if hydraulic oil in Toro 30410 Lawn Mower reservoir foams?
    • M
      Mr. William GainesSep 12, 2025
If the hydraulic oil in the reservoir is foaming, it could be due to a few reasons. First, check the hydraulic reservoir oil level and refill if it's low. Ensure that you are using the correct hydraulic oil for the system. Another possible cause is air leaking into the suction line, so repair any air leaks you find there.

Why is the hydraulic system on my Toro Lawn Mower running hot?
    • P
      Patricia ScottAug 23, 2025
Several factors can cause the hydraulic system to run hot. The engine RPM might be too low, so increase the engine RPM. The hydraulic reservoir oil level could be low, so check and refill it. It's also possible that the hydraulic oil is contaminated or the wrong type, in which case you should change the hydraulic oil. Other potential causes include engaged or sticking brakes (free or adjust them), an open or damaged piston pump by-pass valve (repair or replace it), a cooling system that isn't operating properly (check and repair it), low charge pressure (increase it), incorrect traction circuit pressure (adjust it), or damaged pumps or motors (repair or replace them).
