9.Next,withthepressuregaugestillconnectedtothediagnostictesttting,
monitorthegaugereadingwhileoperatingthemachineinforwardand
reverse.Starttheengineandincreaseenginespeedtohighidlespeed.
Applythebrakesandpushthetractionpedalforward,thenreverse.
GAUGEREADINGTOBEwithin20%ofno-loadchargepressuremeasured
instep4above(e.g.ifchargepressureinstep6is18bar(260PSI),charge
pressureinforwardorreverseshouldbefrom13.8to18bar(200to260PSI).
10.Ifchargepressureisgoodundernoload(step6),butdropsbelow
specicationwhenundertractionload(step9),thepiston(traction)pump,
frontwheelmotorsand/orrearaxlemotorshouldbesuspectedofwearand
inefciency.Whenthepumpand/ortractionmotor(s)arewornordamaged,
thechargepumpisnotabletokeepupwithinternalleakageintractioncircuit
components.
11.Whentestingiscompleted,disconnectpressuregaugefromdiagnostictest
tting.Removediagnostictestttingfrompiston(traction)pump.Install
plugintopistonpumpportandtorqueplugto43N·m(32ft-lb).Lowerand
securehood.
