3.Disconnectpressurereturnhosefromthemotortobetested(Figure81).
Installtesterwithpressuregaugeandowmeterinserieswiththemotorand
thedisconnectedreturnhose.Makesuretheowcontrolvalveontester
isfullyopen.
4.Disconnectthemotorcasedrainhose(smalldiameterhose)whereit
connectstobulkheadttingattheframerail(notatthemotor).Putasteel
caponthebulkheadtting;leavethecasedrainhoseopen.
CAUTION
CuttingdeckbladeswillrotatewhenloweredwithPTOswitchin
ONposition.Keepawayfromcuttingdecksduringtesttoprevent
personalinjuryfromrotatingblades.Donotstandinfrontofthe
machineduringtest.
5.Sitonseatandstarttheengine.Increaseenginespeedtohighidlespeed.
Engagecuttingdecks.
6.Whilewatchingtesterpressuregauge,havesecondpersonslowlycloseow
controlvalveontesteruntilapressureof83bar(1200PSI)isobtained.
Note:Useagraduatedcontainer,specialtoolTOR4077,tomeasurecase
drainleakage.
7.Haveasecondpersonmeasureowfromthecasedrainlineforfteen(15)
seconds,thendisengagethecuttingdecksandstoptheengine.Record
testresults.
TESTRESULTS:Casedrainleakagelessthan662ml(22.4ounces)of
hydraulicuidinfteen(15)seconds(0.7GPM/2.7LPM)
8.Ifcasedrainowismorethan662ml(22.4ounces),thedeckmotorisworn
ordamagedandshouldberepairedorreplaced.
9.Whentestingiscomplete,disconnecttesterfrommotorandhose.Reconnect
hosetothedeckmotor.Removecapfrombulkheadttingandreconnect
casedrainhose.
10.Repeattestforadditionalmotorsifrequired.
