Note:Whenassemblingthemotor,checkthemarkerlineoneachparttomake
surethepartsareproperlyalignedduringassembly.
1.LubricateO-rings,pressureseals,back-upgasketsandwearplategrooves
withathincoatofpetroleumjelly.Lubricateallotherinternalpartsfreely
withcleanhydraulicoil.
2.Installnewsealsintofrontange(Figure121):
A.Pressshaftsealintofrontangeuntilitreachesthebottomofthebore.
B.Installangewasherintofrontangeandtheninstallretainingringinto
thegrooveofthefrontange.
C.Installnewdustsealsintofrontange.
3.Placefrontange,sealsidedown,onaatsurface.
4.Installthepressureseals,atsideoutward,intothegroovesinthewear
plates.Followbycarefullyplacingthebackupgaskets,atsideoutward,
betweenthepressuresealsandthegroovesinthewearplate.
5.Applyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytotheexposedsideofthefrontange.
6.Lubricatethedrivegearshaftwithcleanhydraulicoil.Insertthedriveend
ofthedriveshaftthroughthewearplatewiththepressuresealsidedown
andtheopensideofthepressuresealpointingtotheinletsideofthemotor.
Carefullyinstallshaftintofrontange.
7.Lubricatetheidlergearshaftwithcleanhydraulicoil.Installidlergearshaft
intotheremainingpositioninthefrontwearplate.Applyalightcoatingof
cleanhydraulicoiltogearfaces.
8.Installrearwearplatewithpressuresealsideupandopensideofthe
pressuresealpointingtotheinletsideofthemotor.
9.ApplyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytonewO-ringsandO-ringgroovesin
thebody.InstallnewO-ringstothebody.
10.Installlocatingdowelsinbody.Alignmarkerlineonthebodyandfrontange.
IMPORTANT
Donotdislodgesealsduringinstallation.
11.Gentlyslidethebodyontotheassembly.Firmhandpressureshouldbe
sufcienttoengagethedowels.
12.Checktomakesurethatthesurfaceoftherearwearplateisslightlybelowthe
faceofthebody.Ifthewearplateisnotbelowthebody,checkassemblyfor
ashiftedpressureseal,backupgasketorO-ring.Correctbeforeproceeding.
13.Applyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytotheexposedsideoftherearcover.
14.Placerearcoveronassemblyusingmarkerlineforproperlocation.Firm
handpressureshouldbesufcienttoengagethedowelpins.
