Theengineisshippedwithoilinthecrankcase;
however,youmustcheckthelevelofoilbeforeyou
rststarttheengineandafteryouhaverunit.
1.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface.
2.Removethedipstickandwipeitwithacleanrag
(Figure37).Insertthedipstickintothetubeand
makesurethatitisseatedfully.Removethe
dipstickandchecktheoillevel.

3.Iftheoillevelislow,removethellercapfrom
thevalvecover(Figure37)andpouroilintothe
openinguntiltheoillevelisuptotheFULLmark
onthedipstick.Addtheoilslowlyandcheckthe
leveloftenduringthisprocess.Donotoverll.
4.Installthedipstickrmlyinplace.
ChangingtheEngineOil
ServiceInterval:Aftertherst50hours—Change
theengineoil.
Every100hours—Changetheengineoil(more
oftenwhenoperatingunderheavyloadorin
hightemperature).
1.Starttheengineandletitrunfor5minutes.This
warmstheoilsoitdrainsbetter.
2.Positionthemachineonalevelsurface,engage
theparkingbrake,shutoffthesprayerpump,
shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.
3.Releasethelatchonthebackoftheseatandlift
theseatforward.
CAUTION
Componentsundertheseatarehotifthe
sprayerhasbeenrunning.Ifyoutouch
hotcomponents,youmaybeburned.
Allowthesprayertocoolbefore
performingmaintenanceortouching
componentsunderthehood.
