RemovingtheBattery
1.Positionthesprayeronalevelsurface,engage
theparkingbrake,shutoffthesprayerpump,
shutofftheengine,andremovethekey.
2.Thebatteryislocatedontherightsideofthe
machinebehindthepump(Figure43).
3.Disconnectthenegative(black)groundcable
fromthebatterypost.
WARNING
Incorrectbattery-cableroutingcould
damagethesprayerandcablescausing
sparks.Sparkscancausethebattery
gassestoexplode,resultinginpersonal
injury.
•Alwaysdisconnectthenegative
(black)batterycablebefore
disconnectingthepositive(red)
cable.
•Alwaysconnectthepositive(red)
batterycablebeforeconnectingthe
negative(black)cable.
WARNING
Batteryterminalsormetaltoolscould
shortagainstmetalsprayercomponents
causingsparks.Sparkscancausethe
batterygassestoexplode,resultingin
personalinjury.
•Whenremovingorinstallingthe
battery,donotallowthebattery
terminalstotouchanymetalpartsof
thesprayer.
•Donotallowmetaltoolstoshort
betweenthebatteryterminalsand
metalpartsofthesprayer.
•Alwayskeepthebatterystrapinplace
toprotectandsecurethebattery.
4.Disconnectthepositive(red)cablefromthe
batterypost.
5.Removethebatteryretainerandfasteners
(Figure43).
6.Removethebattery.

ServiceInterval:Every50hours—Checkthe
battery-cableconnections.
1.Setthebatteryonthebatteryboxsothatthe
batterypostsaretowardthefrontofthesprayer.
2.Installthebatteryretainerandsecureitwiththe
fastenersyouremovedpreviously(Figure43).
