Backlapping the Cutting Units
WARNING
Contact with the cutting units or other moving parts could result in death or serious
injury.
• Keep your fingers, hands, and clothing away from the cutting units and other
moving parts.
• Never attempt to turn the cutting units by hand or foot while the engine is running.

Preparing the Machine
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Make the initial reel-to-bedknife adjustments appropriate for backlapping; refer to the
cutting unit Operator's Manual.
3. Lift the magnetically mounted console cover to expose the mower manifold.

4. Move the backlap lever to the R (backlap) position.
