5. If the level is low, add the specified fluid to raise the level to the full mark.
IMPORTANT
Do not overfill the hydraulic reservoir.
6. Install the dipstick and cap onto the filler neck.
Inspecting the Hydraulic Lines and Hoses
Inspect the hydraulic lines and hoses for leaks, kinked lines, loose mounting supports, wear,
loose fittings, weather deterioration, and chemical deterioration.
Note: Make all necessary repairs before operating.
Changing the Hydraulic Fluid
WARNING
Hot hydraulic fluid can cause severe burns, which could result in death or serious
injury.
Allow the hydraulic fluid to cool before performing any maintenance to the hydraulic
system.
If the fluid becomes contaminated, contact your authorized Toro distributor because the
system must be flushed. Contaminated fluid looks milky or black when compared to clean
oil.
1. Prepare the machine for maintenance.
2. Disconnect the hydraulic hose or remove the hydraulic filter and drain the hydraulic fluid
into a drain pan.
