A.Presstheshaftsealintothefrontangeuntilitreachesthebottomof
thebore.
B.Installtheangewasherintothefrontangeandtheninstalltheretaining
ringintothegrooveofthefrontange.
C.Installnewdustsealsintothefrontange.Theinnerdustsealshould
havetheseallipandspringtowardtheinstalledretainingring.Theouter
dustsealshouldhavetheseallipandspringtowardtheoutsideofthe
motor.
3.Placethefrontange,sealsidedown,onaatsurface.
4.Installthepressureseals,atsideoutward,intothegroovesinthewear
plates.Followbycarefullyplacingtheback-upgaskets,atsideoutward,
betweenthepressuresealsandthegroovesinthewearplate.
5.Applyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytotheexposedsideofthefrontange.
6.Lubricatethedrivegearshaftwithcleanhydraulicuid.
7.Insertthedriveendofthedriveshaftthroughthewearplatewiththepressure
sealsidedownandtheopensideofthepressuresealpointingtotheinlet
sideofthemotor.
8.Carefullyinstalltheshaftintothefrontange.
9.Lubricatetheidlergearshaftwithcleanhydraulicuid.Installtheidlergear
shaftintotheremainingpositioninthefrontwearplate.Applyalightcoating
ofcleanhydraulicuidtothegearfaces.
10.Installtherearwearplatewithapressuresealsideupandtheopensideof
pressuresealpointingtotheinletsideofthemotor.
11.ApplyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytonewO-ringsandO-ringgroovesin
thebody.InstallnewO-ringstothebody.
12.Installthelocatingdowelsinthebody.Alignthemarkerlineonthebody
andfrontange.
IMPORTANT
Donotdislodgethesealsduringinstallation.
13.Gentlyslidethebodyontotheassemblyandalignthedowelswithrm
handpressure.
14.Checkthatthesurfaceoftherearwearplateisslightlybelowthefaceof
thebody.
Note:Ifthewearplateisnotbelowthebody,checktheassemblyfora
shiftedpressureseal,back-upgasket,orO-ring.Correcttheshiftingbefore
youproceed.
15.OnreelmotorforReelmaster5510or5610series,doasfollows:
A.Applyalightcoatingofpetroleumjellytotheexposedsideoftherear
cover.
B.Usethemarkerlineforproperlocationandplacetherearcoveronthe
assembly,andalignthedowelswithrmhandpressure.
16.Installthe4socket-headscrewswith4washersandtightenthembyhand.
