TheenginefaultsaregeneratedbytheYanmarengineECUtoidentifyan
electricalsystemmalfunction(fault)pertainingtotheengineduringoperation.
Whenanenginefaultoccurs,thefaultindicatorwillashandtheInfoCenterwill
displayinformationaboutthefault.Thenumberofashesand/ortheashing
patternvarydependingonthetypeorsourceofthefault,enablingquick-x.
Dependingontheseverityofthefault,aStopiconmaydisplayaswell.
TheT oroElectronicControllers(TECs)canalsogenerateelectricalfaults.The
faultsgeneratedbytheTECsarespecictothemachine;refertoMachine
Faults(page7–32).
Ifanenginefaultoccurs:
1.TheenginefaultinformationwillbedisplayedontheInfoCenter(Figure218).
2.IfaStopfaultisdisplayedontheInfoCenter,theoperatorshouldcease
operationofthemachineandtheengineasquicklyandassafelyaspossible
toreducedamagetotheengine.
3.IfaCheckEnginefaultisdisplayedontheInfoCenter,theoperatorshould
takethemachineforserviceassoonaspossible.
4.Returntothepreviousscreenbypressingthemenu/backbutton(asindicated
bythe
atthebottomofthescreen).
Theenginefaultwillcontinuetoappearuntilthefaultiscleared.Inordertoclear
thedisplayedfault,theengineproblemhastoberesolved.RefertotheYanmar
EngineServiceManualandTroubleshootingManualforadditionalinformation.
