InspectingtheOilCooler
1.Backushoilcoolerwithcleaningsolvent.Aftercoolerisclean,ensureall
solventisdrainedfromthecooler.
CAUTION
Useeyeprotectionsuchasgoggleswhenusingcompressedair.
2.Dryinsideofoilcoolerusingcompressedairintheoppositedirectionof
theoilow.
3.Plugbothendsofoilcooler.Carefullycleanexteriorofcooler.Ensureoil
coolernsareclearofdirtandunwantedmaterial.
4.Theoilcoolershouldbefreeofcorrosion,crackedtubes,andexcessive
pittingoftubes.
InstallingtheOilCooler
1.IfttingswereremovedfromoilcooleronReelmaster5610machines,
lubricateandplacenewO-ringsontottings.Installttingsintocooler
openingsusingmarksmadeduringtheremovalprocesstoproperlyorientate
ttings.Tightenttings;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraight
ThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page6–13).
2.Ifremoved,installclampsandbracketstooilcooler(Figure191orFigure
192).
3.Positionoilcoolertoradiatorframeandsecurewithclamps.
4.Installhydraulichosestooilcoolerbarbedttings.Securehoseswithhose
clamps.
5.Closeandsecurerearscreen.
6.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulicreservoirandaddcorrect
quantityofuidifnecessary.
7.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page6–151).
