AssemblingtheCuttingReel
1.Ifthesealsand/orbearingswereremovedfromthereelshaft,discardthe
componentsthatwereremovedandreplace.
2.Ensurethatthe2retainingringsarefullyseatedintothegroovesonthe
cuttingreelshaft.
3.Ifthebearingsandsealswereremovedfromthereelshaft,dothefollowing
steps:
A.Ensurethattheboreofthesealsarecleanwithnogreaseorlubricant
appliedtotheinnerdiameteroftheseal.
IMPORTANT
Thegreasesealshouldbeinstalledsothatthemetalsideofthe
sealistowardthebearinglocation.
B.Pressthegreasesealsontothereelshaftwiththemetalsideorientated
towardthebearinglocation.Finalpositionofthesealshouldbeushto
1.5mm(0.060inch)awayfromtheretainingringonthereelshaft.Donot
forcethesealagainsttheretainingring.Thesealmustbeperpendicular
tothereelshaftafterinstallation.
C.PackthereplacementreelbearingswithhightempMobilXHP-222
greaseorequivalent.
D.Pressgreasepackedbearingsfullyontothereelshaft.Thebearings
shouldbottomonthereelshaftshoulder.Pressequallyoninnerand
outerbearingracewheninstallingthebearingsontothereelshaft.
4.FillthreadedinsertsplineswithhightempMobilXHP-222greaseor
equivalent.
