7.Cleanallthecomponentsandinspectforwearordamage.Replaceallthe
componentsthatarewornordamaged.
AssemblingtheHeightAdjusterAssembly
1.Applyanti-seizelubricanttotheupperthreadsoftheadjustmentrodand
lowerthreadsoftheheightadjusters.Assembletheheightadjusterassembly
(Figure401).
2.Ifboththeheightadjustersareremoved,t1heightadjusterassemblytothe
cuttingunitsideplateandsecureitwiththeange-headboltandangenut.
Donottightentheangenutatthistime.Ensurethattheheightadjustment
boltand1washerisabovetheslotinthesideplateand1washerandlocknut
isbelowtheslotinthesideplate.
3.Positionfrontrollerbetweentheheightadjusterassembliesandsecure
heightadjusterassemblytocuttingunitsideplatewithange-headboltand
angenut.Donottightentheangenutatthistime.Ensuretheheight
adjustmentboltand1washerisaboveslotinsideplateand1washerand
locknutisbelowslotinsideplate.
4.Installnewcotterpinsandclevispinsandsecuretheheightadjustmentrods
tothegroomergearboxandidlerarm.
5.Adjustthecuttingunitheight-of-cut;refertoCuttingUnitOperatorsManual.
6.Checkthegroomerreelheightandadjustasnecessary.
