Specifications
The Voyager units were built utilizing
important input from our consulting
engineers. Engineers wanted a unit
that would perform up to their
rigorous standards in a variety of
applications. They wanted a unit that
would live up to their customer’s
expectations after they gave their
stamp of approval. Here is how
Voyager performs up to that stan-
dard.
Capacity Modulation
● Our heating capabilities feature both
low, medium, and high models. The
6¼ and 7½ ton high heat models and
all 8½-25 ton high and low heat gas/
electrics have 2-stage gas heating.
● In cooling, the 3-6¼ ton units have a
single compressor. The 7½ ton units
can be either single or dual compres-
sor. The 8½-25 ton units have dual
compressors. The 20 and 25 ton have
two advanced design 3-D® Scroll
Compressors.
The dual compressor models are
outstanding for humidity control, light
load cooling conditions and system
back-up applications.
Low Ambient Cooling
All Voyager 3-25 ton units have
cooling capabilities down to 0°F as
standard.
Power Exhaust Option
This option is available on the 6¼-25
ton downflow units. It provides
exhaust of the return air when using
a downflow economizer to maintain
proper building pressurization. Great
for relieving most building
overpressurization problems.
VariTrac®
Trane’s changeover VAV System for
light commercial applications is
now available. Coupled with
Voyager, it provides the latest in
technological advances for comfort
management systems and can
allow thermostat control in every
zone served by VariTrac.
