If the passenger seat or luggage rack are
used to carry small objects, they must not
exceed a total maximum of 10 kg in
weight (combined on the seat and luggage
rack), must not impair control of the
motorcycle, must be securely attached and
must not extend beyond the rear or sides
of the motorcycle.
Carriage of objects in excess of 10 kg in
weight, that are insecure, impair control or
extend beyond the rear or sides of the
motorcycle, may lead to loss of motorcycle
control and an accident.
Even if small objects are correctly loaded
on to the rear seat or luggage rack, the
maximum speed of the motorcycle must
be reduced to 80 mph (130 km/h).
The top box sliding carriage is intended for
fitment of the Triumph Genuine Accessory
top box only.
If load is added to the top box sliding
carriage, the load must:
• be applied and secured as stated
previously for luggage rack loading;
• not exceed the 10 kg total payload as
stated previously;
• not restrict the sliding carriage
mechanism.
Do not restrict the sliding carriage
mechanism as motorcycle stability will be
affected. Riding the motorcycle with the
sliding carriage mechanism restricted may
cause the motorcycle to become unstable
leading to loss of motorcycle control and
an accident.
