Primaryandsecondarylterelementsattachtotheundersideoftheltervalve
housing.Thehousing,locatedatthefrontlowerleftsideofthecylinderblock,hasan
integralhand-primingpumpforbleedingthesystem.The30micronpre-lter(primary
lter)alsoseparateswaterfromthefuel.Watercollectsinacuponthebottomofthe
pre-lter.ThereisasensortokeeptrackofthewaterandsignaltheEECU.
Note:Thecollectedwatercanbedumpedonlywhiletheengineisnotrunning,the
keyisintheONpositionandtheparkingbrakeisset.
Acheckvalvepreventsfuelfromdrainingbacktothefueltankwhentheengineis
shutdown.Alsoincludedinthevalvehousingisthefuelpressuresensorjustabove
theprimarylter.
