Thedieselparticulateltershouldberemovedfromthesystemandreplacedatthe
recommendedserviceinterval.Ifthelterisnotreplaced,itwillbecomeclogged
andincreaseexhaustbackpressure.Asbackpressureincreases,enginepowerand
economydeclineasdoestheabilityofthesystemtoremoveundesirableemissions.

Thecomponentsreachhightemperaturesduringuse.Ensurethattheunithas
cooledtothetouchbeforehandling.Failuretoheedthiswarningmayresultin
severepersonalinjury.
Removal
1.Whenthefairing(ifpresent),bracesandstepshavebeenremovedtopermitaccess,
removethelinesandsensorsconnectingtheinletmoduletotheothermodules.
2.DisconnectwiringandsensorconnectorsfromtheDPFandoutletmodules.Cut
tiestrapssecuringthelowerportionoftheDPFharnesstothemuferbody.Also,
removethepressuredifferentialsensortubethatconnectstotheoutletmodule.

andbeloweachV-bandclamp.
