Agear-typepumpattherearoftheengine,drivenbythecrankshaftgear,draws
lubricantfromtheoilpanandsuppliesthesystem.Oilowsfromthepumpthrough
thedistributionhousingtothelters,toagalleryattherightsideoftheengineserving
thecrankshaftjournals,toagalleryattheleftsideservingpistonlubricationand
cooling,tothecylinderheadandrockershaftduct(valverockerandcamshaft)and
backtotheoilpan.Thesystemincludescrankcaseventilation.

panmonitorsuidlevel.Thereisanoilcoolerimmersedinenginecoolantinside
thecoolantductcover.

Astrainerandpickuptubeleadthelubricantintothepump.Fortheaxleforwardoil
pan,thestrainerismountedonashorttubeheldinplacebyabracketattachedtothe
distributionhousing.Fortheaxlebackmodel,alongtubewithoutthebracketis
supplied.
