aligntheheadfromsidetosideatassembly.Foreandaft,theheadisalignedby

contactwiththetiminggearplate.

CAUTION

Theheadisalignedwiththetiminggearplatebyscrewspassedthroughtheplate

intotheheadandtightenedsecurely.Itisextremelyimportanttoremovethese

screwsbeforeattemptingtoremovethecylinderheadfromtheblock.Failureto

heedthiscautionmayresultinseveredamagetothetiminggearplateandother

enginecomponents.
