7.LowertheDPFunitandrollthetransmissionjackfromtherightsideofthechassis
toremovethelowerportionoftheDPF.
8.LoosenthenutsecuringthelargeV-bandclampbetweentheexhaustoutletmodule
andtheltermodule
9.SeparatetheDPFfromtheoutletmodule.
10.Removeanddiscardthegaskets.
11.InspectandreplacetheV-bandclampsshowinggalledthreads,cracksorheat
damage.Cleanallexposedgasketsurfaces.
Installation
1.InstallanewgasketbetweentheoutletandDPFmodules.
2.Usingalignmentmarksmadeatdisassembly,positiontheDPFovertheoutlet
moduleandconnectusingtheV-bandclamptightenedtospecications.
Note:Makesurethehigh-temperaturegasketremainsinplaceandhasnotbecome
dislodged.
3.Placeanewhigh-temperaturegasketontopoftheDPFmodule.
4.Performthefollowingstepstoalignandliftthelterandoutletmoduleassembly
intoposition:
•Aligntheoutletmoduleangetotheexhaustpipe.
•Alignthelocatortabattheltermodulewiththeslotlocatedinthebottomofthe
catalystmodule.
•Startallfastenersthatconnectthelowersupportingbrackettothechassisframe
bracket.
5.InstalltheV-bandclampthatjoinstheDPFandcatalystmodules.Tightentheband
clampfastenertospecication.
Note:Makesurethehigh-temperaturegasketremainsinplaceandhasnotbecome
dislodged.
