Ignition key
NOTE
The electrical system is switched on and off and the diesel
engine started and stopped with the ignition key.

NOTE
The pilot light for cold start assistance can also look different in
different machine types.
Switching on the electrical system
Turn the ignition key [1] to position I.

The electrical system is switched on.

Functional control of warning and indicator lights.

Indicator light for cold start assistance [2] lights up until the start
temperature is reached.

The diesel engine remains switched off.
Switching off the electrical system
Turn the ignition key [1] to position 0.

The diesel engine is stopped.

The electrical system is switched off.
For versions with electronic battery switch-off
NOTE
By switching off the battery, the internal power supply can be
disconnected from the voltage source.
The electrical system can only be started if the on-board power
supply is connected to the battery voltage.
