ADJUST RUN/LEVEL SPEED
1. Adjust leveling speed (#2) until it is approximately 6-8 feet per minute (fpm).
A. “Out” is faster.
B. Adjustment screw should be almost completely turned in when properly set, begin from
this position and adjust accordingly.
2. Adjust down speed (#9) until it matches the up speed.
3. Set high speed in both up and down directions by adjusting pressure balance (#8) until speed is
40 fpm.
A. “Out” is faster.
4. Recheck that up/down speed match and that leveling speed is within acceptable parameters,
read just if necessary.
A. If readjustments were required, recheck high speed and adjust if necessary.
B. Repeat these steps as necessary until all speeds are within acceptable parameters.
ADJUST PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE
1. Load elevator to maximum rated capacity and run the unit to ensure working pressure is less
than 740 psi.
A. If the pressure while under full load exceeds 740 psi contact technical support before
proceeding any further.
B. Take note of the pressure during this step, this is the working pressure of this particular
elevator.
*All elevators will have a slightly di erent working pressure due to head losses
resulting from piping con gurations and accuracy of jack plumbness.
2. Close shuto valve.
3. Run unit by placing a call.
4. Adjust pressure relief (#1) until pressure is less than 150% of working pressure found when run
under full load.
A. Waupaca Elevator recommends that the valve not be adjusted to below 125% of working
pressure to ensure proper operation of the elevator.
5. Open shuto valve.
TEST EMERGENCY MANUAL LOWERING
1. Depress emergency manual lowering button and ensure the elevator lowers.
2. If the elevator does not lower contact technical support before proceeding any further.
TEST MANUAL PUMP
1. Remove handle from retaining clips and place inside manual pump.
2. Operate manual pump and ensure that the elevator raises.
A. Elevator will raise approximately 1/8” per pump.
3. If elevator does not raise contact technical support before proceeding any further.
