Maintenance Procedures
Neutral Start Interlocks - Test
Elevator / Conveyor Drive Switches
Perform the test procedure on the following switches to ensure neutral start interlocks function
correctly:
(1) Elevator Switch
(2) Hopper / Conveyor Switch - test both switch ‘on’
positions
Test procedure
1. Turn Ignition Switch on. Do not start engine.
2. Verify Park Brake is on.
3. Turn switch on.
4. Attempt to start engine. Display will instruct to
turn switch off.
5. Engine must not crank with switch on.
6. Turn switch off.
7. Start engine.
8. Turn engine off.
9. Contact a Weiler dealer if interlock does not function correctly.
Propel Lever
1. Turn engine off.
2. Move Propel Lever out of neutral.
3. Start engine. Display panel will instruct operator to return Propel Lever to neutral.
4. Engine will start, machine must not move.
5. Return Propel Lever to neutral, trigger must be depressed and Propel Lever moved out of
neutral before movement occurs.
6. Contact a Weiler dealer if propel lever neutral start interlock does not function correctly.
WARNING
Runover possible. Contact with moving parts can cut or crush.
Make sure no one is working on, underneath, or close to machine before
starting engine or moving machine. Ensure area is free of personnel. Keep
spectators away.
