Replacing the cooling fan
Requirements and tools
Check that the following requirements have been met:
• The appliance has been disconnected from the power supply and protective measures have been taken to ensure
the power cannot be switched on again.
• The appliance is cool.
• The top and side panels of the casing of the appliance have been removed.
• The cooling fan speed controller is removed.
• The high voltage capacitors are discharged before commencing work.
• Anti-static precautions have been taken.
Tools required:
• M7 hex socket wrench
• PZ2 pozidriv screwdriver
Component location
The cooling fan is located under the oven cavity.
Removing the cooling fan
1.
On the right-hand side of the appliance, unplug the electrical connection of
the cooling fan.
Loosen the M7 hex nut to free the metal bracket holding the cooling fan.
2.
On the left-hand side of the appliance, unfasten the PZ2 and M7 nut that
hold the convection fan motor speed controller board backing plate.
3.
Slide the board/backing plate towards the rear of the appliance to provide
access to the cooling fan.
