6. Lubricating Quill
Lubricating oil is injected on to the cylinder liner wall through the lubricating quills
installed on the circumference of the cylinder liner.

7. Lubricating of the Exhaust Valve Spindle
The lubricating pump (1, Fig. 7) supplies lubricating oil through the oil pipe to the
exhaust valve (4). During each lube pulse, some lubricating oil flows through the
non-return valve (5), orifice (6) and ball valve (7) into the exhaust valve.
Note: The cylinder lubricating oil supply to the valve guide bush is open for all
load ranges (see also 2751−1).
