Prepare the Servo Oil System
1. Servo Oil System − Checks
1.1 6-cylinder to 8-cylinder engines
For more data, see 8016−1 Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 and 4003−2, Control Diagram.
Do the checks that follow:
1) Make sure that the stop valve 4.37 (14), upstream of the automatic filter 4.20 (1)
is open.
2) Make sure that the stop valve 4.80 (15) downstream of the automatic
filter 4.20 (1) is open.
3) At the free end of the servo ol rail 4.11 (7), make sure that the stop
valve 3.40 (27) is closed and the nut with the conical plug is installed.
4) At the driving end of the servo ol rail 4.11 (7), make sure that the drain
screw 4.82 (31) has a torque of 200 Nm (see 8016−1 Servo oil rail − fill and drain,
paragraph 6).
5) Make sure that the ball valves 3.38 (21) and 3.27 (22) upstream and downstream
of the injection control unit 3.02 (11) are open.
1.2 9-cylinder engines
For more data, see 8016−1/A2 Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 and 4003−2, Control Diagram.
Do the checks that follow:
1) Make sure that the stop valve 4.37 (15), upstream of the automatic filter 4.20 (1)
is open.
2) Make sure that the stop valve 4.80 (16), downstream of the automatic
filter 4.20 (1) is open.
3) Make sure that the stop valves 4.26-3 to 4.26-6 (18), (19), (20) and (21), on the
connecting pipe (8) are tight and open. If necessary, torque the stop
valves 4.26-3 to 4.26-6 (18), (19), (20) and (21) to 100 Nm.
4) At the free end of the servo ol rail 4.11 (7), make sure that the stop
valve 3.40 (33) is closed and the nut with the conical plug is installed.
5) At the driving end of the servo ol rail 4.11 (7), make sure that the drain
screw 4.82 (37) has a torque of 200 Nm (see 8016−1 Servo oil rail − fill and drain,
paragraph 6).
6) Make sure that the ball valves 3.38 (26) and 3.27 (27) upstream and downstream
of the injection control unit 3.02 (12) are open.
