5 Commissioning
The RM-2 will start automatically once it has been installed and
connected to the electricity.
The RM-2 must be congured differently depending on the type.
5.1 RM-2 (eBus)
The eBus version of the RM-2 will begin to initialise and to determine
its function as soon as it is connected to the electricity (see page
19, para.: 5.3). No further steps are necessary.
5.2 RM-2 Wireless (wireless communication)
5.2.1 Connecting to the Base Wireless receiver
The RM-2 Wireless communicates wirelessly with the Base Wireless
receiver (which is connected to the eBus) at a frequency of 868 MHz.
The RM-2 Wireless must be paired with the Base Wireless before the
units can communicate.
5.2.2 Pairing mode
In its factory setting, the RM-2 Wireless goes into pairing mode as
soon as it is turned on. The RM-2 Wireless will stay in pairing mode
for 2 minutes following a restart. The word PAIR will be displayed
inside a moving rectangle.

The Wireless Base must be put in pairing mode before the end of the
2 minute period (press the button, see instructions for the Wireless
Base).
PAIR OK will be displayed if the units have been paired successfully,
followed by the FW version:
