the
length

the
V-belt.
It
should be within specification; if
not,
replace
the
belt.

4-3. V-BELT
A. Removal
1.
Turn
the
secondary sliding sheave clock-
wise
and
push it
towards
the
cha
in case.
2. While holding
the
sliding sheave in
this
compressed position, remove
the
V-belt
from
the
secondary sheave
then
from
the
primary.
B. Inspection
1. Visually inspect
the
V-belt for signs of
damage. Replace
the
belt if it is
damaged.
2. Measure
the
width
of
the
V-belt. If
the
belt
is
worn
beyond
the
wear
limit,
replace it.
