Yamaha XT500 - Install front wheel

lnstall
the
front
wheel on the
front
forks.
1. Remove the
front
wheel
axlè
nut
and
plain washer. and loosen
the
two
nuts
securing the axle holder. Then remove
the
wheel
axle.
2. lnsert
the
front
wheel between the
front
fork
legs so
that
the stopper (projection)
on
the
front
fork
end is
correctly
engaged
tthe
slot
in
the brake shoe
plate.
3.
lnsert
the
axle.
mount
the
plain
washer
on
the
axle.
and install the
axle ·nut.
4.
Lightly
tighten
the
axle
holder
nuts
so
that
the
axle
does
not
turn
while
the
axle
nut
is tightened.
5.
Torque
the
axle
nut
to
specification
Tightening
torque:
7.0
~
10.0
m-kg
6. Lock
the
nut
with
the
cotter
pin (n-2).

The
pm
should
be
inserted
downward.
and
the
pin ends should
be
bent.
Pose de la
roue
avant
sur la fourche avant.
1.
Enlever l'écrou
d'axe
de
roue
avant
et la
rondelle plate,
et
desserrer les deux écrous
du
collier d'axe. Ensuite, retirer l'axe de
roue.
2.
Présenter la
roue
avant
entre
les
bras
de
fourche,
de
telle
sorte
que
l'arrêt
(saillie)
prévu
à
l'extrémité du
bras
de
fourche s'en-
gage
correctement
dans
l'encoche du pla-
teau porte-segments.
3.
Insérer l'axe,
y
poser
la rondelle plate, et
visser
l'écrou
d'axe.
4.
Serrer légèrement les
écrous
du
collier
d'axe,
pour
empêcher
l'axe de
tourner
lors-
q"J'on serre
son
écrou.
5.
Serrer
l'écrou
d'axe
au
couple spécifié.

de serrage:

6.
Caler
l'écrou avec la goupille fendue (n-2).
Insérer cette goupille
par
le
haut,
et replier
ses extrémités.

Gabelbeinen einsetzen. so

nenenden richtig
in
den
Schlitz der
B remsankerplatte
eingreift
.
3. Die Achse einführen. die Scheibe auf die
Achse aufsetzen und die
Achsmutter
anbringen.
4.
Achshaltermuttern
leicht
anziehen. so
dar..
sich die Achse
nicht
dreht.
wenn
die
Achsmutter
festgezogen
wird
.
5.
Achsmutter
mit
dem vorgeschriebenen
Anzugsmoment
festziehen.

6. Danach die
Achsmutter
mit
dem
Splint
(n-2) sichern; den
Splint
dabei von oben
einstecken und die Enden danach
um-
biegen.
