Keypad Special Functions
The keypad special functions are color coded on the keypads. For example, on the 53-key keypad, the display
backlight icon is blue indicating that the blue function key must be selected first to access the display backlight.

Blue key + X Decreases the keyboard backlight
intensity.
Blue key + Y Increases the keypad backlight
intensity.
Blue key + D Increases display backlight intensity.
Blue key + I Decreases display backlight intensity.
Blue key + H Increases overall system volume.
Blue key + M Decreases overall system volume.
Blue key + CTRL Enables Alt keypad functions.
NOTE: Only applicable if the Large Key Indi-
cator is enabled.
Blue key + Space Sends TAB character (forward tab).
NOTE: Use of display and keypad backlighting can significantly reduce battery life.
