TROUBLE PROBABLE CAUSE SOLUTION
ENGINE Starter does not
work
 Clutch pedal released  Depress the clutch pedal
 PTO switch set to ON
position
 Defective safety switch
 Dead battery
 Loose contact
 Defective switch
 Defective starter
 Set the PTO switch to the
OFF position
 Have it repaired by an
authorized service
 Charge the battery
 Check for loose contacts
and corrosion. Clean,
tighten
 Have it repaired by an

Low starter speed  Low battery
 Poor grounding
 Incorrect engine oil
viscosity
 Charge the battery
 Clean and tighten the
contacts
 Replace with engine oil of
the correct viscosity
