To enable this function, press F2 until “ON” is displayed. The program will now ask for the
text file name to be entered. Any name may be used, but it must consist of 2 to 8 characters
(and you must not use those characters DOS considers invalid for file names: space, &, \, *,
and ?). Please note that the DOS extension “.txt” must be part of the file name entered. If the
file does not exist then a new file under this name will be opened.
“Enter File Name [ filename.txt ]”
If the file already exists then the program will ask if you want to Overwrite or Append.
“File Exists Overwrite / Append (O/A) ? [ ]”
Pressing ESC will cancel this function and return you to the edit screen.
F3 Function Key - Download
If required, a configuration file may be downloaded to the Model 25 in order to restore the
encoder configuration. The F3 key is used to initiate the download process.
Note: Before a configuration file can be downloaded, the Model 25 receiving the
download must first be completely cleared by using the Model 25 “CLEAR ALL”
feature. Consult page 67 for information on the clearing procedure.
