Pressing the F3 function key instructs the program to enter the Download mode. A prompt
will be displayed asking for the name of the Configuration file to be downloaded. Any name
may be used, but it must consist of 2 to 8 characters (and you must not use those characters
DOS considers invalid for file names: space, &, \, *, and ?).
“Enter File to be Downloaded to Model 25 [ ]”
Note: Do not confuse the configuration file with any text files you may have created
using the “F2 File (OFF)” function key. You may only download a file that has
first been uploaded using function key F4.
If you wished to cancel the process at this point, you may do so by pressing the ESC key.
Once the file name has been entered, the Configuration program will begin to download the
configuration file. The following prompt will be displayed:
“Downloading (file name) to Model 25”
Upon completion of the download, the following prompt will be displayed. Press the F5
“RESET” function key to return to the edit screen.

Note: The upload and download information is stored on the disk as data files and is not
readable as text. Additional records as to how the Model 25 was configured
should be kept to insure that changes may be made if necessary. See the
“Creating a Configuration Printout” on page 107 for more information.
Once the Model 25 has been configured, the entire configuration may be uploaded to the
computer for storage onto disk. This provides a safe way to record and back up the current
configuration for later downloading to the Model 25.

be displayed asking for the name of the file to be uploaded. Any name may be used, but it
must consist of 2 to 8 characters (and you must not use those characters DOS considers
invalid for file names: space, &, \, *, and ?).
“Enter File to be Uploaded from Model 25 [ ]”
If you wished to cancel the process at this point, you may do so by pressing the ESC key.
Software Version 2.20 or Higher
If the Model 25’s software version is 2.20 or higher, then uploading will begin automatically
upon entering the file name. When the upload is complete, the Model 25 will display
“DONE”. The Configuration Program will return to the edit screen.
