Forexample,ifa5250-52PMswitchdoesnotsupportPOE,this
parametervalueis<1-0>.
<0-30>Protectionthreshold.
Guidelines
Whenthesumofthepowerthataportrequiresandthepowerthatthecurrentsystem
consumesislargerthanthemaximumoutputpower,powersupplycannotbeprovidedfor
thisportuntilapowerpreemptioneventoccurs.Duetotheevent,portswithlowerpriorities
willbedisabledandpowersupplywillbeprovidedfortheport.Duringpowersupply,ifthe
device’soutputpowerislargerthanthemaximumoutputpowerduetopowerconsumption
changes,analarmisactivated.Ifthedevice’soutputpowerislargerthanthesumofthe
maximumoutputpowerandthethreshold,theportwiththelowestprioritywillbepowered
off.
