Switchescalculatingspanningtreeaccordingtothecontentof
BPDUpacket.Networktopologyoncechangesspanningtreewill
becalculatedagain.Ifthenetworkislarge,thecalculationwillbe
veryfrequent.Thisinuenceswitchestotransmitpacket.Atthe
sametime,thechangeofRootBridgealsobringssomeproblem.

Ifaportissetasanedgeport,BPDUprotectionfunctionwillshut
downthisportwhentheedgeportreceivesaBPDUpacket.It
