DHCP Relay
Server Address
This field is only available when you select D H CP Relay in the DHCP field.

This field is only available when you select Ena ble in t he DH CP field.
Beginning I P
Address
This field specifies the first of the cont iguous addresses in the I P address pool.
Ending I P
Address
This field specifies t he last of the contiguous addresses in t he I P address pool.
DHCP Ser ver
Lease Tim e
This is the period of t im e DHCP- assigned addresses is used. DHCP autom at ically assigns I P
addresses to clients when t hey log in. DHCP centralizes I P address m anagem ent on central
com put ers t hat r un t he DHCP ser v er pr ogram . DHCP leases addresses, for a period of tim e,
which m eans t hat past addresses are “ recycled” and m ade available for future reassignm ent
to other system s.

Select this option to aut om at ically obtain an I Pv6 network prefix from the service provider
or an uplink router.

Select this option to configure a fixed I Pv6 address for the Device’s LAN I Pv6 address.
ULA I Pv6 Address Set up
I Pv6 Address I f you select st atic I Pv6 address, ent er t he I Pv 6 address prefix that the Device uses for t he
LAN I Pv6 address.
Prefix Length
I f you select static I Pv6 address, enter t he I Pv6 prefix lengt h that t he Device uses to
generat e t he LAN I Pv6 address.
An I Pv6 prefix lengt h specifies how m any m ost significant bits (start ing from t he left ) in t he
address com pose the network address. This field displays t he bit num ber of t he I Pv6 subnet
m ask.
MLD Snooping
Multicast Listener Discover y ( MLD) allows an I Pv6 swit ch or rout er t o discov er t he presence
of MLD host s who wish t o r eceive m ult icast packets and the I P addresses of m ulticast
groups the hosts want t o join on its net w ork. Select En a ble M LD Sn ooping to act ivate MLD
Snooping on the Device. This allows t he Device t o check MLD packets passing through it and
learn t he m ult icast group m em bership. I t helps reduce m ult icast t raffic.
