Act ive Select t his t o activate t he WAN configuration set t ings.
Nam e Ent er a service nam e of the connection.
Ty p e Select ADSL/ V DSL over PTM as t he interface t hat you want to configure. The Dev ice uses
the VDSL t echnology for dat a t ransm ission over t he DSL port.
Mode Select Bridge when your I SP provides you m ore t han one I P address and you want the
connect ed com put ers to get individual I P address from I SP’s DHCP server directly. I f you
select Br idge, you cannot use rout ing functions, such as QoS, Firewall, DHCP server and
NAT on traffic from the select ed LAN port ( s) .
VLAN This section is available only when you select AD SL/ VD SL over PTM in t he Type field.
Active Select t his t o add the VLAN Tag (specified below ) to t he out going t raffic t hrough this
connect ion.
802.1p I EEE 802.1p defines up to 8 separat e t raffic t ypes by inserting a tag into a MAC- layer fram e
that cont ains bit s t o define class of service.
Select the I EEE 802.1p pr iority level ( from 0 t o 7) t o add t o t raffic through this connection.
The great er t he num ber, t he higher t he priority level.
802.1q Type t he VLAN I D num ber ( from 0 t o 4094) for traffic t hrough this connection.
QoS
Rat e Lim it Ent er t he rate lim it for the connect ion. This is t he m axim um transmission rat e allowed for
traffic on this connect ion.
