8.2 Wireless
This section is for configuring wireless settings for this system to associate with its uplink access point.
8.2.1 General Settings
This section is for manual configuration of the system RF settings. Manually enter the uplink ESSID to
associate with on this page. Security can be set on the “Security” tab to be discussed in section 8.2.3. For
automatic configuration, use the ‘Site Survey’ tab (discussed in section 8.2.4) to search for the desired SSID.
ESSID: The ESSID (Service Set ID) of the client device that the system is to be associated with.
Transmit Power: The signal strength transmitted from the system. Select the Transmit Power Level
from the drop-down list box. Level 1 is the actual highest power, Level 2 is the highest power minus
1dBm, so on and so forth.
ACK Timeout: When packet loss is increasing over longer distance, ACK Timeout can be used to
alleviate this issue.
