WARNING
Handling gearbox oil involves several
safety risks, see Gearbox lubricants (oil or
grease) on page 31.

CAUTION
The gearbox can contain an excess pres-
sure that can be hazardous. Open the oil
plug carefully in order to let the excess
pressure out.

Remove the oil plug from the drain hole
and let the oil run into the vessel.

Place the oil collecting vessel underneath
the oil drain plug.

Remove the oil plug from the fill/level hole.
Note
The fill hole is opened to speed up the
drainage.

Used oil is hazardous material and must
be disposed of in a safe way. See section
Decommissioning on page 639 for more in-
formation.
