30 Program features
Local control
The control commands are given from the control panel keypad or from a PC
equipped with Drive composer when the drive is in local control. Speed control mode
is available in vector motor control mode and frequency mode is available when
scalar motor control mode is used.
Local control is mainly used during commissioning and maintenance. The control
panel always overrides the external control signal sources when used in local control.
External control
External (remote) control mode is the default selection. In external control mode, by
default, the speed references are provided by MPPT functionality. To configure the
speed references manually, you need to disable the MPPT reference. See, parameter

page 34.
