The contactor package includes:
• contactor unit
• fixing screws
• 2 × normally-open + 2 × normally-closed auxiliary contacts.

Varistor kit (UL/CSA)
Varistor kit is for UL/CSA installations.
The CVAR varistor board is used to protect the diode bridges inside the module against
excessive voltage peaks. The board shunts the current created by high voltage.
The CVAR board must be attached into the cabinet and connected to the main circuit after
the main contactor and must have a PE connection as well. For best results, use as short
connection wiring as possible. For the detailed connection, see chapter Example circuit
diagrams on page 397.
The varistor kit ACS880 contains:
• CVAR varistor board with fastening items (ie, stand-offs and fastening screws).
